There is nothing quite like seeing a good bird dog going on point, and then not knowing whether you will have a single bird or an explosion of a whole covey of quail. Hunts are typically half days, either morning or afternoon.

At Drake Landing you will have the opportunity to hunt open water, flooded timber and grain fields. Drake Landing is a 1250 acre preserve located in an agricultural community. The finest equipment and dogs are used to make your hunting experience both pleasant and memorable. From the smallest group of buddies to corporate clients we will strive to meet your every need.
With 3 separate farms within the preserve, we can offer many different hunting experiences for the novice hunter and accommodate the more experienced wing shooter. The Plantation's bird stock has been replenished and nurtured each year for a couple of decades. The hunting sites are in haying fields, stands of Loblolly pine, among the rows of beans and clumps of sorghum and milo. Hundreds of acres of them. You can hunt for a week and never repeat a spot and never leave the Plantation.
The Quail Club is located in 3 tracts in Halifax County right now. We have 762 plus acres of prime Quail Hunting. The goal of the Quail Club is to be good stewards of the land we lease. We have planted and thinned pines along with large open fields for hunting.
Our quail hunting comes in two varieties. Select from wind row or wooded cover where the action is explosive. These hunts include an experienced bird hunting guide and a well trained bird dog. If you so desire you may hunt your own dog with advance notice.
Harris Crossroads Hunting Preserve offers both guided and non-guided quail, chukar, and pheasant hunting with our dogs or yours. Honey Hill Hunting Preserve offers Field Hunts for Pheasant, Quail, and Chuckar. The farm, with it's buffer crops offers a varity of cover for the birds. Hunters may walk the property by their selves, or for a nominal fee a guide may accompany. Hunters may bring their own dog. If a hunter so desires the guide will supply a dog.
All Guided Hunts are for a maximum of three hunters in a party and include guide and dog. Lodging and meals are available on request. Includes cleaning and packaging of birds along with refreshments during the hunt. Morning Hunts start @ 8:30 AM -Afternoon Hunts start at 1:00 PM (We are flexible and can arrange different start times with prior notice).
Memberships are designed to accommodate corporate group outings or individual hunters. This new program allows for more flexibility to our hunters to access our preserve when and how they choose to hunt. From the weekend preserve hunter to the experienced wild bird hunter, one can choose to train a pup, condition his broke dogs, or experience a released quail hunt designed to challenge your shooting skills. Our land is managed to create habitat suitable for all levels and desires of a bird hunters.
