Young Sportsman Quail Hunt Set Nov. 15 for Tellico Lake WMA
Oct. 30, 2008NASHVILLE --- On Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008, the Knoxville Quail Unlimited Chapter and Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA) will sponsor a quail hunt at the McGhee-Carson Unit of the Tellico Lake Wildlife Management Area. This hunt will be for Young Sportsman ages 10 to 16 that have passed a TWRA Hunter Safety class.

Shooting Preserve Owners Join Forces in new Tennessee Quail Forever Chapter - Oct. 13, 2009
Two western Tennessee shooting preserve owners have joined forces to create the state's newest chapter of Quail Forever (QF). Jerry Lynn Phillips, owner of Turnbo Creek Shooting Preserve and Barry Stinnett, owner of Lakeview Shooting Preserve, volunteered their free time to organize the new Tennessee River Quail & Dove Chapter of QF.
Special USDA Signups for Bobwhite Quail and Pollinator Habitat in 28 Counties - Jun. 24, 2009
NASHVILLE --- A special enrollment period for certain practices in the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP) and Wildlife Incentives Program in a 28-county priority area is now underway as announced by the USDA-Natural Resources Conservation (NRCS). The signup period began June 15 and will continue through July 15.
