The Bobwhite Quail Initiative is a private-land incentives program developed by the Georgia Department of Natural Resources' Board of Natural Resources and the state General Assembly to address the severe decline in bobwhite quail and other grassland-forb wildlife species.

The National Wild Turkey Federation joined with 14 other conservation organizations of the Georgia Bobwhite Technical Team, by recently signing a Memorandum of Agreement committing to the recovery of bobwhite quail and other early successional habitat dependent species, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division. More than four million acres of habitat must be enhanced across Georgia's landscape to achieve Northern Bobwhite Conservation Initiative (NBCI) recovery goals.

QF Donation Helps Habitat Restoration - Jun. 26, 2008
SOCIAL CIRCLE, Ga. - The Flint River Chapter of Quail Forever (QF) recently donated $2,000 to help restore quail habitat on the Joe Kurz Wildlife Management Area in Meriwether County, according to the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, Wildlife Resources Division (WRD).
