Bird Valley also features a shooting range that is open year round and includes trap shooting, a 200-yard rifle range, a 25-yard pistol range and an archery range. Bird Valley and Bird Creek were originally named by local settlers over a hundred years ago. The name originated from the plentiful birds and wildlife found in the area.
